On Saturday, 8October 5th, The Pit Bull Coalition – teaming with 15 of world's most respected non-profit dog rescues, will join forces in what promises to be the single most notable and impactful, pit bull-centric event ever presented!
The GREATEST PIT BULL EVENT. EVER! (GPBE) – Education Meets Entertainment
Entertainment.
We’re presenting a multi-dimensiona; entertainment spectacular, kicked off by “The Pit Bull Cinema Event,” featuring carefully curated pit bull-centric shorts, hosted by film icon and renowned pit bull activist Linda Blair. This film festival-within-an-event takes place at the last remaining single-screen movie theatre in Los Angeles, the vintage Gardena Cinema.
Immediately following, “Our Pit Bulls’ Big Night Out” will kick off directly across the street at Illusion, an exciting new one-of-its-kind venue. Big Night Out is co-headlined by The Pit Bull Fashion Show, showcasing two adoptable dogs from each of our 15 Rescue Partners, walking the runway with world-class models and wearing the latest fashions (both the models and the pups!). Our 30 pit bull models will then be available for meet n’ greet and photo opps at the “Ultimate Adoption Showcase,” held in Illusion’s exclusive outdoor space.

Education.
We’re educating the masses about what “Adopt, Don’t Shop” truly means and providing easy-to-follow action steps about how the public can react and support is at the center of our effort. Our Coalition is coming together to curate the strongest possible messaging around this mandate and to ensure its delivery in a tremendously powerful and impactful manner; live at the event, through social and traditional media coverage, and via live streaming on major platforms.
OUR GOALS:
- Generate huge awareness to educate about and to promote rescue and adoption and related initiatives such as combatting breed-specific legislation, dog fighting, and breed prejudice, advocate for pit bull de-stigmatization, and to promote spay and neuter.
- We will implement multiple event-related revenue streams with goals to raise as much as one million dollars, with all proceeds going directly to pit bull rescue and pit bull-related mandates.
From sponsors and venues, to attendees and special guests, to seasoned producers and one-of-a-kind attractions, The GPBE will, in every respect, be a most prestigious event.
